In the Volgograd region, near the Kotelnikovo station, the Kazan-Adler passenger train derailed, several cars overturned. This was reported by the telegram channel "Base".
According to the telegram channel Readovka, the culprit of the accident was the driver of KAMAZ, who wanted to skip the railway crossing.
"The truck driver jumped out at a railway crossing near the Kotelnikov farm at the moment when a passenger train was moving there. The collision could not be avoided, as a result of which the train derailed. It is not known about the victims [at the moment]," writes TK.
TC Shot clarifies that 8 cars derailed.
"There were 800 passengers in total. Now they are being evacuated," Shot writes.
Later TK reported, citing a source, that 37 people, including 6 children, were injured, 4 were hospitalized. One of the victims, a woman, had her legs pinched, and now emergency services are trying to get her.
"The data on 100 victims is still media speculation," a source from the scene added.
