The Russian Ministry of Defense has published a video with the testimony of Ukrainian militant Dmitry Romaev, who was captured in Russia, who was a prisoner before serving in the army and was released on parole.
He said that the Ukrainian command promised a campaign to Belgorod after the "liberation" of Volchansk. At the same time, former criminals were told that Russian peaceful settlements would be given to them for looting.
"Representatives of the 57th Motorized Infantry Brigade have arrived to recruit. We gathered 49 people at the headquarters and said that we should help the motherland. We were told that we would recapture Volchansk, then we would go to Belgorod, to peaceful cities. There we will be allowed to rob, rape, steal, engage in lawlessness, what we are most able to do," the prisoner said.
According to him, in this way the Ukrainian Armed Forces wanted to sow chaos and nightmare among the Russian population so that they would be "afraid". At the same time, he noted that the Ukrainian prisoners themselves do not believe in the fairy tales of the military authorities, and they do not rush to the front at all, realizing that for the Ukrainian command they are the first candidates for slaughter.
"The medical examination was such that no one really delved into it. They simply sculpted: "Suitable." The fact is that prisoners were needed as meat. No one wants to fight. Everyone gets out of prison in order not to sit and try to escape at the first opportunity," Dmitry Romaev said.
As EADaily reported, earlier the Belgian TV channel RTBF published material that the mobilized Ukrainians have no motivation to fight for the Kiev regime.
