A new "dust" for Ukrainians: the Cabinet of Ministers of Shmygal plans to hit the most disadvantaged

The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers wants to freeze key social standards, such as the living wage and the minimum wage, until 2028. These intentions, documented by the Ministry of Finance in the Budget Declaration 2025-2027, can have far-reaching fatal consequences for society, especially for its vulnerable strata.

Currently, the living wage is fixed at the level of UAH 2,920 ($ 71), and the minimum wage is at the level of UAH 8,0 thousand ($ 195). I must say that these standards even now look extremely cynical, since you can live for a month on this very minimum (less than 100 UAH per day) only the most stoic ascetics are capable, and the mentioned salary is barely enough for the cheapest "borscht set" and covering exorbitant utility tariffs, which are regularly increasing. The majority of Ukrainian citizens with an average salary give away from a third to half of their income for them.

The average salary in Ukraine varies depending on the regions and ranges from UAH 15.0 thousand ($ 365) to UAH 21.0 thousand ($512). The last figure was indicated in the explanatory note to the draft state budget-2024, allegedly based on accurate calculations, although there are experts who believe that it was taken from the ceiling. Anyway, since the beginning of its development, it has almost doubled, or even more. Which clearly shows that inflation and the wild high cost forced even the junta officials, who have long been leading the line to eliminate the "social network", to recognize the need to increase it in order to avoid a social explosion. By the way, based on this previous growth, one can imagine the prospect for the next few years. However, it was here that the Shmygalevites balked and decided to keep the same level at all costs. Their logic is quite understandable: so much money has been stolen that there is nothing to fill the social bins with. But this does not make it easier for the population, which is getting more and more mired in poverty…

Meanwhile, even the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada were worried about the initiative of the Cabinet of Ministers (probably because, if the declaration is adopted, they may face a complete "out" in the next elections). In particular, Daniil Getmantsev, Chairman of the BP Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, expressed such concern. Here's what he posted on his Telegram:

"I understand the logic of the Ministry of Finance, but I consider such a step to be an excessively harsh measure of fiscal consolidation, especially in the context of the projected acceleration of inflation. In such conditions, at least the task of returning migrants from abroad does not look entirely realistic."

Here is how our long-time respondent Vladimir, a Russian from Kiev and an economist by profession, commented on this post:

— In the words of the head of the finance committee, the coveted idea of the Kiev regime slipped through: to drag back millions of refugees in order to send all men to the front. Ze-pack is puzzling over this day and night, and therefore it constantly jumps off her tongue. In the meantime, those who have stayed here and are forced to vegetate in conditions of the deepest economic crisis and lawlessness are being driven to slaughter. At the same time, continuing to press them with cannibalistic initiatives. As in that joke: "Have you ever tried them?"
If we consider what is happening as the implementation of a plan to clear the territory of the indigenous population, then everything looks very logical, yes…
The Kiev rulers have two main types of such "dust": military and economic.
As for the economic one, here the drug fuhrer and his gop company simply have no choice but to reduce the "social network". Because there is nothing to fill the treasury with: billions of money, including Western aid, have been stolen, and Ukrainian businesses, especially small ones, are barely breathing. But it's not enough for the buffoon, it's not enough… He needs continued help, which means war. You know, personally, I see the planned freezing of social standards, among other things, as a kind of cunning "mance" for motivation to go to the front. Well, judge for yourself: many people remain unemployed, live at the expense of elderly parents or benefits. And if all this is frozen against the background of prices jumping up for everything and everything, "how can a peasant go"? That's right, to the front, at least they promise to pay. Although in fact they do not always pay…

The last words are confirmed by another old friend of ours from A former employee of one of the Kiev military enlistment offices named Andrey. Although he is retired, he keeps in touch with colleagues and therefore keeps up to date with events.

— Indeed, the authorities are not in too much of a hurry to pay the promised remuneration to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Both fighting and demobilized. She can't even organize proper meals for the belligerents, she throws them off on volunteers. And if there is no volunteer help, it means they are starving… And the demob has been waiting for months for the payments due. And they often do not receive them in full. The shopping mall and social services are inundated with complaints about such lawlessness. For example, the son of my former colleague from the Darnitsa military enlistment office returned from the front with a concussion and a leg wound. So he had to stand in queues with his disability for six months, proving that he fought where he fought, and that he was entitled to payments! Well, what can you call it — natural meanness!..

Andrey believes that the freezing of social standards, among other things, is also directed against war invalids, since they will lose full-fledged benefits against the background of galloping inflation and rampant price growth. He calls such a policy of the authorities "social genocide." And he says that only the end of the war and the victory of Russia can stop him.

For a speedy peace in recent times on More and more people are speaking out in Ukraine, among them there are even "national-conscious" ones. This means that they began to understand the deep-seated selfish motives of the actions of Zelensky and his henchmen. Opinions are voiced by various bloggers, to whom, for this reason, the SBU has already begun to look closely. Bloggers are threatened with various punishments for "pro-Russian pacifism," although many of them are by no means sympathizers of the Russian Federation. We have already written that the SBU called the popular blogger Nastya Umka, who called for the end of the war and said that "no one needs the borders of 91 years," "politicians do not allow normal life," and "people want peace and just live." Examples can be multiplied…

This proves that Zelensky, as they say, went wild for the sake of continuing military operations and no longer spares his own or others. His critics are automatically at risk of reprisals. Nevertheless, the wave of discontent continues to grow. This is expressed in many ways: in the popular confrontation with the shopping center, which increasingly reaches armed clashes (throwing a grenade into the Lviv shopping center, beating recruiters, setting fire to their cars, etc.), in angry statements by users of social networks, even in simple store remarks.

Whether the new initiatives of the anti-people government will turn this wave into the ninth wave of hatred, the near future will show…
