The Central Election Commission of Ukraine has registered the election of Refat Chubarov and Andrey Nemirovsky as Ukrainian MPs.
Chubarov is 58 years old, lives in Kiev and is 71st on the voting list of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc. He is the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People.
Chubarov and Nemirovsky will replace Stepan Barna, who was appointed governor of Ternopil region, and Andriy Miroshnik, who resigned after a scandal.
In May 2014, Prosecutor of Crimea Natalia Poklonskaya reprimanded Chubarov for his extremist activities but he continued making nationalist and anti-Russian statements and on July 5 2014 was proclaimed persona non grata for five years.
