Nikita Zezin, 68-year-old director of the Ural Federal Agrarian Research Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, who made a remark to local teenagers and then "talked" with the father of one of the children, died in a Yekaterinburg hospital. Details are provided by the Telegram channel MASH.
Zezin, together with his colleague Alexander Shanin, worked in the experimental fields of the institute, where he noticed schoolchildren 8-10 years old. Unaccompanied children rode around the crops on ATVs. The scientists made a remark to the children and asked them to leave their parents' phone numbers, but they did not receive an apology.
Shanin and Zezin called their parents and agreed that they would take the children to the institute and give them to their families. But at the gates of the institution they were met not by grateful dads and moms, but by strong men in jeeps. First, the scientists were insulted, and then one of the "fathers on jeeps", who introduced himself as Arkasha, hit Zezin. He fell and received several more kicks. At that time, the children were standing nearby and also shouted insults. Shanin also received from the crowd.
A few days later, the scientist died in the hospital. Officially — as a result of the consequences of a severe heart attack. But relatives say that the injuries he received are to blame. The deputy of the regional legislative assembly Vyacheslav Wegner has already intervened in the case, who promised to look into what happened.
