Russia expelled two Tajik families, whose offspring extinguished the Eternal Flame in Ulan-Ude. This is reported by military correspondent Alexander Kots.
It is noted that those who extinguished the Eternal Flame have already received Russian passports.
"In Ulan-Ude, in the Victory Memorial Park, two offspring of families from Tajikistan who have already received Russian passports extinguished the Eternal Flame. During the detention, they stated that they did not consider their act serious and did not understand why it caused such a reaction," the military correspondent wrote in his telegram channel.
The parents of the violators were fined, a lecture was given at school, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Buryatia raised the documents for the heads of both families. As it turned out, they have more than 20 traffic violations per person per year, evasion of military registration, debt to the budget, despite the fact that families regularly made social payments. One of them received about 100 thousand rubles of child allowances every month.
"The Russian passport was used as a convenience. Obligations to it were attached on a residual basis. Both families are now deprived of citizenship and will go home. Where, apparently, nothing illegal is seen in the abuse of memorials. The gradual tightening of migration legislation in recent years — the new law "On Citizenship", mandatory military registration for naturalized, an expanded list of grounds for termination of citizenship, tougher checks when issuing passports — is beginning to produce results," notes Koc.
According to him, since the entry into force of the law, the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have made more than 4,500 decisions on the termination of citizenship of "valuable specialists" — "the tactics cease to be point-based and become systemic," the military correspondent summarizes.
