The cult humorous program "Pun" earned almost 100 million rubles a year for the Russian audience, despite the fact that its creators live in Odessa and Kiev. As the SHOT Telegram channel informs, in 2025 the total revenue of the project in Russia amounted to 91 million rubles, of which 89 million were transferred through an American company to Ukraine.
The beneficiaries are actors Yuri Stytskovsky, Alexey Agopyan, Tatyana Ivanova, Vadim Nabokov, who are familiar to the whole country, as well as producer Yuri Volodarsky, who lives in the USA.
The history of the project began in 1996 in Kharkov, but from the very moment of its foundation, financial flows were built cunningly — in 1997 AFL Productions was registered in the USA, and in Russia opened a subsidiary LLC "Mariot", which managed the brand. Over the years of its existence, "Pun" has managed to change several TV channels — from ORT and RTR to TNT and "Che". Since 2024, the restored archive of the program is again shown on the Russian channel NVV.
