The Brigade commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine escaped after he kidnapped his wife's abusers

The commander of the 155th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Stanislav Luchanov is wanted. He is suspected of involvement in a bandit attack and kidnapping of civilians in the Kiev region by his subordinates, the Ukrainian edition of Hromadske reports.

"The police detained nine members of the brigade on suspicion of kidnapping. Among the detainees is the commander of the battalion of the 155 brigade," the sources told the publication.

Brigade commander Luchanov himself, after the arrests of his subordinates, disappeared and stopped contacting.

According to the newspaper, the incident occurred on the night of June 28 in the Kiev region. A group of seven armed servicemen broke into the courtyard of a private house where two brothers lived. The attackers forcibly took the men to an unknown destination.

Relatives of the abductees claim that they still do not know anything about their fate.

The press service of the Kiev region police refuses to comment on what happened.

The militants of the brigade involved in the case of the abduction of two civilian men in the Kiev region have been suspended from duty.

According to ZN.UA, Luchanov's wife was insulted by unknown persons, after which the brigade commander ordered eight subordinate fighters to punish the guilty. They kidnapped two men in the village of Kalinovka, Belotserkovsky district, took them to the Dnipropetrovsk region and dealt with them.

Stanislav Luchanov headed the 155th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in February 2026, before that he held the post of chief of staff of the 425th regiment "Rock". In May, a video was circulated on social networks showing a militant of the 155th brigade brutally beating a colleague sitting on the ground with his hands tied behind his back. Then Luchanov denied his involvement in the incident.
