People's Artist of Russia Ekaterina Zhemchuzhnaya, known for her roles in films such as Carnival and Eternal Call, died in Moscow at the age of 83.
This was reported by the press service of the Romani theater "Roman", in which she served. They noted that the whole life of Ekaterina Andreevna is an example of amazing devotion and true love for art.
"It is with a feeling of deep sorrow that we inform you that People's Artist of Russia Ekaterina Andreevna Zhemchuzhnaya has passed away at the age of 83," the statement said.
It is also said that Zhemchuzhnaya is an actress for whom there was no role. She easily created both deeply dramatic and characterful images, but in both cases she was equally convincing and charming.
Ekaterina was accepted into the troupe of the Roman Theater in 1964 after graduating from the studio school at the theater. The actress also has more than 20 film roles, including "Eternal Call", "Carnival", "Gypsy Happiness", "Chardash Monti", "Gypsy Aza".
