Russia and Belarus together will be able to meet all challenges and overcome any challenges. This is stated in a congratulatory telegram sent by Russian President Vladimir Putin to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on the occasion of the republic's Independence Day.

"Moscow and Minsk fruitfully cooperate in all areas, coordinate efforts in countering external threats and challenges. I am confident that by continuing to increase multifaceted partnerships and strengthen the institutions of the Union State in every possible way, we will be able to overcome any challenges with honor, defend our legitimate interests on the world stage and ensure a decent future for our citizens," the message of greetings reads.
Today, on July 3, Independence Day is celebrated in Belarus. On this day in 1944, Minsk was liberated from the Nazi invaders. The holiday was approved by Belarusians in a referendum in 1996.
