Ksenia Nikitina, a native of Voronezh, who won the "Most Beautiful Girl in Russia" contest in 2020, died at the age of 8. The information in the VKontakte group was confirmed by the Stesha Charitable Foundation.
The organizers of the fund expressed all possible condolences to the girl's relatives and announced their readiness to support the family.
Ksenia suffered from Rett syndrome from birth. We are talking about a very rare genetic disease, when a child's motor and speech functions are weakened and completely lost. But Nikitina's parents were glad to see her participate in the contest, thanks to which Ksenia was remembered by many, and society learned about the existence of Rett syndrome.
