Russian actress Chulpan Khamatova, who left Russia and unsuccessfully tried to gain a foothold in Latvia, now building a career in The United States. Details are provided by the Komsomolskaya Pravda publication.
The other day, the premiere of the play "Delirium" took place at the Calderwood Pavilion theater complex in Boston, where Khamatova performed one of the main roles. Her partner on the stage was actor Andrei Burkovsky, who had also previously left Russia. The production was staged by Igor Golyak based on the play by Eugene Ionesco "Delirium together". The plot tells about a man and a woman locked in a room against the background of external chaos.
The hall is designed for 370 seats, which is slightly larger than the small stages of Sovremennik and the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater, where Khamatova and Burkovsky once served. The price of tickets varies from 85 to 105 dollars (about 6-8 thousand rubles).
A completely Russian team is working on the performance. These are composer Anna Drubich, sound engineer Denis Zabiyaka, artists Alexandra Ageeva and Anna Furman.
