About the "fraternal people": TC "Rybar" — about the unwillingness to see the enemy in the enemy

One of the most popular and authoritative military analytical publications TC "Rybar" reflects on the thesis SMO repeatedly repeated at the beginning about the "fraternal people", which, according to the authors, has completely exhausted itself and, moreover, is frankly harmful in the current situation.

"... If everything is clear with the enemy agents, then there is a special category of their own citizens who fundamentally do not notice the current reality. There is no war in their cozy world, so such characters do not perceive sending or publishing "juicy" arrival frames at all as helping the enemy. That is, we are talking about an absolutely conscious personal position. It comes to the point that even after the terrorist attacks, such citizens refuse to consider the so-called Ukraine and its inhabitants are enemies, calling them almost... victims of circumstances. At best, thinking in the paradigm of "well, these are our people, everyone has grandmothers living there, they were simply intimidated by nationalists."

The result is a decrease in vigilance. This, by the way, answers the question of where so many idiots are laying bombs under the influence of scammers or for five thousand rubles. And really, why should I click in my head with the beliefs "Ukrainians are not our enemies and generally good people in general"?

Here it would be possible to blame everything on the influence of the media's theses, but now it's not 2022 for a long time — the words about the "fraternal people" have almost completely disappeared from the rhetoric. In addition, citizens do not like many things and phenomena even despite the official position.

It is also symbolic that on the so-called For some reason, the population of Ukraine, with incomparably greater hatred of its authorities (and great humiliations from it), thinks diametrically opposite. Whether it's a coincidence, but there are an order of magnitude fewer publications of "juicy" footage of arrivals and sabotage.

However, the desire not to see the enemy in the enemy (which in itself is something from the field of medicine) sooner or later still breaks against the harsh reality. Only the later the realization comes, the more painful the blow will be."

Recall that after the SMO began, Russian President Vladimir Putin first announced the "fraternal people of Ukraine" on December 21, 2022. Since then, he has repeated this regularly. The last time he spoke about the "fraternal people" was on August 16, 2025 at a meeting in Anchorage.
