At Yerevan's Zvartnots airport, Armenian law enforcement officers detained blogger Mikhail Verbitsky at the request of Russia❶, who had previously called for strikes on Russian territory.
This was reported on Saturday, June 13 by the Izvestia agency, citing a source in the local police. He said that the detainee was escorted to a room reserved for such cases on the territory of the air harbor.
"Blogger and mathematician Mikhail Verbitsky ❶ was detained by the Armenian police," the publication says.
No other details are given, but it is known that since January 2025 Verbitsky ❶ has been on the international wanted list through the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. A criminal case has been opened against him on public calls for terrorist activities.
