Russian hockey player Egor Yadykin tragically died at the age of 21

Norilsk striker Yegor Yadykin died under tragic circumstances at the age of 22. This was reported by the press service of the hockey club.

It is emphasized that Yadykin, speaking for Norilsk, showed himself not just a professional and promising player, but a real selfless fighter for whom team ideals were paramount.

"The news of Egor's sudden departure came as a shock to everyone in our club without exception. All thoughts and support of Norilsk are with his family and friends now. Our club will provide them with all the necessary assistance, " the message says.

The circumstances of the tragic death of the striker in the club were not disclosed.

According to the Ufa1 portal, the tragedy occurred while fishing in Yadykin's hometown of Salavat (Bashkiria). Grandfather born in 1958 decided to teach his grandson to shoot a gun.

"However, the weapon worked in the hands of an inexperienced shooter, and the guy was wounded in the lower jaw, from which he died on the spot. Grandfather, unable to withstand the consequences of the tragedy, took his own life," the publication says.

The grandfather told his relatives about the incident, leaving a voice message.

Yadykin is a pupil of the Omsk "Avant—Garde". In 2022-2025 he played for Omsk "Wings". The athlete spent the last season in Norilsk.
