Latvia has decided to sever trade relations with Russia. This is reported by the agency LETA.
According to the new Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs, the Latvian Foreign Ministry has already been instructed to implement appropriate measures. At the same time, he noted that a number of exceptions are envisaged.
"(Kulbergs) stressed that he still insists that business ties with Russia should not be maintained… To the question of whether what he said means that Latvia's plan provides for the cessation of imports and exports to the Russian Federation with some exceptions, Kulbergs answered in the affirmative," the publication quoted by <url>.
What these exceptions are is not specified.
It is noted that from January to March of this year, the volume of exports of goods from Latvia to Russia left 244.15 million euros, and imports — 10.51 million euros.
