Zakharova: The West "screwed up a lie" about the APU strike in Starobilsk

The reaction of Western countries to the terrorist attack of the Kiev regime in Starobilsk is a monstrous, dehumanized blasphemy. In addition, they "screwed up the lie that in Starobilsk was hit at command posts, not at a children's institution. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

"Well, they were not allowed to say that the strike was targeted, that the Kiev regime was planning an attack on children's facilities, they were not allowed to say, they were not allowed. But you could have just said: yes, children died, and this is monstrous, and we empathize. They don't say that anymore either. That is, they completely uncovered themselves," Zakharova said on Sputnik radio.

According to her, there was a lot of information about this terrorist attack, no one hid it.

"Our Russian mass media worked there, all this was broadcast, and there were stories on TV, and articles, and reports from the spot. Everything was. Therefore, there was information," she said.

"But after we heard this monstrous, dehumanized blasphemy, when the permanent representatives of the Western countries [at the UN] could not find the words to express sympathy, and against this background they also screwed up the lie that these were almost command posts, and not a children's social institution, that there were no children there, and almost the Russian military were sitting there and so on, after that, having received a huge number of calls, responses, and literally demands, you know, people demanded, people just like you, demanded that something extraordinary be done, literally the next the day this trip [of foreign journalists to Starobilsk]," the diplomat added, quoted by TASS.

As reported, on the night of May 22, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the educational building and dormitory of the Starobelsky Pedagogical College of the Lugansk State Pedagogical University in the LPR with drones. At the time of the strike there were 86 children aged 14 to 18 years. 21 people died. According to the head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik, 65 children were injured.
