In the Black Sea city of Samsun, which is located in northern Turkey, a drone that fell from the sky damaged two buildings, the Sözcü newspaper reports.
The article clarifies that the incident happened in the early morning in the Ilkadym district. Local residents were woken up by an explosion in the early morning of May 16, and then saw debris on the street.
"It was established on the spot that the fallen object was an unmanned aerial vehicle," the agency informs.
As a result of the incident, roofs were damaged in two houses and windows were broken. The police, firefighters and medics arrived at the scene of the emergency. The authorities announced the start of an investigation to find out who owned the drone and why it was launched.
Recall that on May 7, several Ukrainian UAVs flew into Latvian airspace, one of which fell in Rezekne, damaging a storage facility for petroleum products.
As EADaily reported, this caused an acute conflict among the ruling coalition. As a result, Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silinja submitted her resignation to the Seimas, which automatically means the resignation of the government.
