A new shipment was sent from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan

Another delivery has been made from Russia to Armenia through the territory of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC reported.

Eight wagons with fertilizers with a total weight of 536 tons were sent on May 3 from the Bilajari station in the direction of Boyuk-Kasik.

In 2025, as part of the peace process, Azerbaijan and Armenia lifted restrictions and bans on the transit of goods. In early November, the first train in more than 30 years arrived from Russia to Armenia via a new route that passes through Georgia and Azerbaijan. It delivered more than 1 thousand tons of wheat. In December it became known that a train with oil products was sent from Azerbaijan to Armenia for the first time after the collapse of the USSR.
