Pavel Talankin, a former teacher from the Chelyabinsk Region , the director of the Oscar-winning documentary for its anti-Russian orientation, lost his award when flying from From New York to Frankfurt. The New York Post writes about this.

"Talankin ... says that on Wednesday at New York's JFK airport, the Transportation Security Service (TSA) did not allow him to carry his award into the cabin, despite the fact that he had transported it without problems more than once before," the report said.

The inspectors considered the golden statuette a potential weapon. The TSA employees allegedly also did not agree to the proposal of the Lufthansa representative to personally take the award on board and keep it with him during the flight. As a result, Talankin was forced to put it in his luggage, but he found out in Frankfurt that there was no box.

The publication reminds that in case of loss or breakdown of the statuette, the television academy issues a duplicate.

As EADaily reported, on the eve of the Commission of the Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights (HRC) demanded that the organizing committee of the Oscar Film Award and UNESCO check the observance of the rights of minors during the production of the award-winning film "Mr. Nobody Against Putin" in the category "Best Documentary" and to consider the issue of its compliance with the ethical and legal standards applied by the American Film Academy when awarding.

In particular, the HRC indicated that the film used the image of minors without obtaining the consent of their parents or legal representatives. Also, the authors of the film did not take into account the limited nature of the use of such materials, originally filmed in an educational environment.
