As a result of an explosion near his residence at an army base in Mali's Defense Minister Sadio Camara was killed. This is reported by Jeune Afrique magazine, citing sources.
"According to several security sources, Sadio Camara was killed during an attack on his residence in Kati, near Bamako, April 25. The attack, attributed to the Islamic and Muslim Support Group (JNIM), was carried out using a bomb... The explosion, which was very powerful, completely destroyed the residence of the Minister of Defense," the publication says.
