Berlin took note of the information about the detention of a German citizen in Russia for preparing a terrorist attack at the facility of one of the law enforcement agencies in Pyatigorsk.
"We have taken note of media reports on this matter, but, as in other similar cases, we would not give details here because of the need to protect individual rights," German Foreign Ministry spokesman Josef Hinterseer said at a briefing.

An improvised explosive device with a capacity of 1.5 kg in TNT equivalent and equipped with damaging elements was found in her bag. A citizen of one of the republics of the Central Asian region, born in 1997, a supporter of radical ideology, "who was supposed to activate the IED by remote detonation, and the woman was killed on the spot," was also identified.
