The European Commission (EC) sees no evidence of Ukrainian drone strikes on Russia through the airspace of EU countries, including the Baltic states and Finland. This was announced today, April 17, by EC official representative Anita Hipper at a briefing in Brussels.
Thus, Hipper commented on yesterday's warning by the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergei Shoigu, about the possibility of Russia using the principle of the right to self-defense in response to these strikes.
"The European Commission has seen statements in which these countries The EU has rejected these accusations. There is no evidence to support Russia's claims from what we see," Hipper said.
As EADaily reported, on the eve of Sergei Shoigu reminded Finland and the Baltic countries of Russia's right to self-defense due to strikes by Ukrainian drones in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter.
