In Poland, Deputy Berkovich came to a meeting of the Sejm with an Israeli flag with a swastika

In Poland, Konrad Berkovich, a deputy from the far-right Confederation association, appeared at a meeting of the Sejm with the flag of Israel, on which there was a swastika instead of the star of David (Mogen Dovid). The broadcast is carried out on the Seimas YouTube channel.

Under Polish law, propaganda of Nazi symbols is prosecuted. In his speech, Berkovich explained that his move is related to Israel's actions against Lebanon, Iran, and also in the Gaza Strip.

"Israel is committing genocide with particular cruelty before our eyes. Israel is the new Third Reich, and its flag should look exactly like that," the deputy said.

It should be noted that Polish politicians have repeatedly indulged in anti-Semitic statements against the background of Israel's operation in Gaza, as well as its conflict with Iran. Thus, the leader of the Confederation of the Polish Crown party and MEP Grzegorz Brown blamed the "Jewish diaspora" for the crisis in the Middle East during a meeting of the European Parliament in March. In December 2023, the politician extinguished Hanukkah candles in the Seimas building with a fire extinguisher.

Berkovich himself became infamous after he was caught stealing kitchen utensils from an Ikea store in Krakow in October 2025.
