The Brussels authorities have stopped financing the largest Ukrainian center "Voice of Ukrainians". This is reported by the Euractiv portal.
"After almost four years of work, the committee of Ukrainian refugees "Voice of Ukrainians", located in the European quarter of Brussels, has been closed since April 1 due to receiving a notification of exemption from the public service of the Brussels Metropolitan region," said the coordinator of the center Pavel Koshka.
According to Euractiv, the budget of the center was 800 thousand euros per year, and the cost of renting premises of about 30 thousand euros was paid by the city authorities of Brussels from the first months of SMO. The main reason for this step was that the budget of the Belgian capital is experiencing acute financial problems. In this regard, the city authorities decided to reduce spending and cut a number of non-mandatory expenses, including financing the center and paying for the rent of its offices in the European Quarter.
"We don't have that money. We need to look for a new building and new financial support," complained Pavlo Koshka.
Recall, after the start of SMO, the European Union sided with Ukraine. In the early years in the countries The EU massively appeared various structures to support Kiev and Ukrainian refugees. However, the financial capabilities of European countries have been significantly reduced over the past few years, including due to excessive support for the Kiev regime.
