Gladkov revealed the number of losses of the Orlan division in the Belgorod region

Since the establishment of the Orlan unit operating in the Russian border region, seven soldiers have been killed and 98 wounded in the detachment. Such figures were announced by the head of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov.

"It seems to me that there is no longer a single person in the Belgorod region who does not know what the state unitary enterprise Orlan is and what it does," he said.

The governor recalled that this unit was created on the personal instructions of President Vladimir Putin in order to carry out tasks in cooperation with the Rosgvardiya.

"An absolutely combat unit, one of the best, which is fighting the enemy, or rather the drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Unfortunately, there are losses: 98 Orlan fighters were wounded, 7 people died," Gladkov said.

He noted that the day before, in the village of Nezhegol in the Shebekinsky district, the fighter Artur Igorevich Syromolot was killed. He was 33 years old, he had five children.

The governor promised that the authorities will definitely help the family and will do everything so that "the memory of our heroes will forever remain in the hearts of our children and grandchildren."

Earlier, EADaily reported that four civilians were injured as a result of attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Belgorod region. This was announced by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
