Statements by Moscow and Minsk that the Baltic countries have provided their airspace for Ukraine's strikes on Russia are an "information attack." This was reported in Armed Forces (Armed Forces) of the Republic.
"Recently, the regimes of Russia and Belarus have been spreading false information about the official decision of the Baltic states to allow Ukraine to use its airspace for drone attacks on Russia. This information is widely disseminated — from messages on social networks to statements by high—ranking Russian officials, which suggests that the Kremlin is conducting a coordinated information attack," the statement said.
According to the Lithuanian Armed Forces, the purpose of such statements is allegedly to "increase the emotional burden" and "intimidate" Lithuania, claiming that the Russian Federation is allegedly ready to shoot down targets over the airspace of the Baltic States or strike at the territory of these countries.
Recall that in recent weeks, Ukrainian drones suddenly began to appear in Lithuania. After that, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Russia had issued a warning to the Baltic countries for the possible permission granted to Ukraine to use their airspace for strikes on Russian territory. At the same time, Moscow has never talked about a military response to the Baltic countries.
