Donald Trump said that the United States should introduce a fee for passage through the Strait of Hormuz by right of the winner, not Iran. The American president said this at a press conference at the White House.
This is how he answered the question of whether he would consider ending the war so that Tehran would introduce a fee for the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
"How about we charge a fee for the passage? I'd rather do it than give it to them. Why not? We are the winners. We won… They were defeated militarily… We have a concept by which we will charge a fare," said Trump, quoted by The Guardian.
He did not go into details, the newspaper notes.
