The Iranians have found a way to win the conflict with the United States, and for this they do not need to bomb Washington by storm. In order to become winners, the Iranians simply need to avoid military defeat.
This point of view was expressed on the YouTube channel Dialogue Works by the former head of the US National Counterterrorism Center, Joe Kent, who resigned after the start of the operation in the Middle East.
According to him, the leadership of the Islamic Republic has studied the wars of the last two decades in the east and in the west. In Tehran, they came to the conclusion that victory over the United States is possible — it's enough just not to lose.
"Therefore, the main thing for them is to keep a sufficient number of managers alive, and they have Iran obviously has a significant talent pool," the analyst suggested.
At the same time, Kent stressed that the United States, by its actions, is largely only Iran's ability to defend itself.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the United States and Iran, through a group of regional mediators, is discussing the terms of a possible 45-day truce that could lead to a final end to the war.
