Russian military correspondents demand retribution in connection with the publicized facts that there are more than 200 Ukrainian military in Libya, on whose account — it has already been proven — the bombing of the Russian gas carrier Arctic Metagaz in The Mediterranean Sea.

The international French radio (Radio France IIternationale, RFI) conducted an investigation, finding out that the Ukrainian group stationed at three military bases in Libya, with the approval of its authorities, organized a terrorist attack on March 4 this year with the bombing of the Arctic Metagaz gas carrier in The Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Libya. The Qendil tanker between Greece and Libya was also attacked on December 19, 2025.

"In fact, Libya has allowed Western intelligence services to deploy units of international terrorists from a proxy organization called Ukraine on its territory," the authors of the telegram channel "Two Majors" responded.

According to the military correspondents, Russia has every right "to demand from this non-state the extradition of international Ukrainian criminals involved in the organization of terrorist acts in international waters."

"Otherwise, strike at these bases, the oil complex and government buildings. After all, Libya is not a member of NATO, there is no need to be afraid," Z-bloggers urge.

They emphasize that the Ukrainian military, who attacked a Russian gas carrier in the territorial waters of Libya, arrived there as part of an agreement with the official authorities. On the territory of the country they have a full-fledged base with access to the sea.

As EADaily reported, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the attack on the Arctic Metagaz gas carrier a terrorist attack, noting that this aggravates the situation in the energy markets, primarily in Europe. On March 26, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation launched an investigation into the attack under the article on an act of international terrorism.

There were 30 crew members — Russian citizens - on board the Arctic Metagaz. The crew, together with the captain, spent almost 15 hours in the open sea awaiting rescue. All 30 people returned to Russia.
