The tanker with Russian fuel Sea Horse, which was heading to Cuba, indicates that it is now heading to Trinidad and Tobago, although it previously went to Cuba, where blackouts occur all over the island due to the US power blockade. The day before, the United States updated the temporary exemption for Russian oil and petroleum products, but banned any supplies to Cuba. Another tanker, the Anatoly Kolodkin, is coming to the island. He hasn't changed course yet.

A tanker carrying fuel and originally bound for Cuba changed its destination on Friday to Trinidad and Tobago, Reuters reports, citing data from the LSEG vessel tracking system.

Information is confirmed by AIS data of vessels. Sea Horse indicates that it plans to arrive on March 23 in Port of Spain on Trinidad and Tobago.

It is not known to what extent the information corresponds to reality. One of the navigation portals indicates that the tanker has gathered at all in Venezuela.

Today, the ship was in the Atlantic Ocean 940 miles from Cuba and 720 miles from Trinidad and Tobago.

Also, as Bloomberg reported, the tanker Anatoly Kolodkin is heading to Cuba. According to AIS vessels, the tanker has not changed directions and, having entered the Atlantic Ocean, is still heading towards the island.

The day before, the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Treasury Department updated the license for the temporary exclusion of Russian oil and petroleum products from sanctions. The deadline until April 11 was set for any deliveries except those related to Iran, Cuba, North Korea and Crimea.

Earlier, the United States installed the island's power plant, stopping supplies from Venezuela and Mexico. In March, power outages began across the country.

"We are really discussing with them possible options for providing assistance to Cuba in the difficult situation in which it finds itself," Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
