The Haj-Qasem Soleimani ballistic missile with a length of 11 meters and a diameter of about 1 meter consists of two stages. The mass of the rocket is estimated at 7-8 tons, of which the main part is occupied by fuel. The warhead can weigh from 500 to 700 kilograms, depending on the type of combat equipment — both conventional and, potentially, nuclear or cluster. The flight range is from 700 to 1400 kilometers, the maximum speed at the exit from the atmosphere reaches about 4-5 Mach, that is, about 1400-1700 meters per second.
When entering the dense layers of the atmosphere on approach to the target, the rocket speed decreases to Mach 2-3, but at the same time the rocket retains a sufficiently high kinetic potential to overcome the enemy's air defense / missile defense systems.
