In the center of Kiev on the Maidan, a new type of Russian Lancet drone fell. Ukrainian media are writing about this today.
The Defense Express publication claims that the UAV was configured for swarm use, autonomous navigation, target search and strike without communication with the operator. According to Ukrainian experts, this is indicated by an unusual marking in the form of colored circles. This marking is found on Russian autonomous V2U drones, and it is needed so that the drones stay close, moving in a "flock". This morning's attack on Kiev was just a group attack.
Meanwhile, the speaker of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuri Ignat, said that these drones worked through mesh networks. Although the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov recently said that these networks for drones flying into Kiev from Belarus were destroyed, the Country's Policy TC is perplexed.
"About 30 drones of different types were sent to the Kiev region. The not—so-good news is that these drones have communication channels: mesh networks and other channels through which the enemy can control them. From the good news — almost all of them were shot down. We saw that even in the center of the capital they found debris — they will be identified," Ignat said.
