Russia has changed the tactics of strikes on Ukraine in order to deplete the stocks of Patriot missiles. This is reported by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

The Russian Armed Forces conducted a large-scale series of UAV and missile strikes on Ukraine on the night of March 6-7. According to the AFU, two Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles were launched from Crimea, 13 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles from Bryansk, Kursk and Voronezh Region and 14 Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea, as well as 480 attack UAVs Geran (about 290), Gerbera, Italmas and others.

The Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that 453 drones, eight Iskander-M/S-400 missiles and 11 Caliber missiles were shot down.

"The series of Russian strikes from March 6-7 included a larger number of ballistic missiles than Russia usually includes… About half of the missiles... were ballistic. Russia sometimes launches a larger number of ballistic missiles, but it is rare that ballistic missiles make up such a large proportion of the total number of missiles… Russia is probably trying to further exhaust the limited Ukrainian Patriot interceptors and exploit their shortage, hoping that the US will not be willing or able to provide Ukraine with more interceptors as the US-Israeli campaign in the Middle East continues," ISW analysts believe.

As reported by EADaily, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, said that shifting the focus to the Middle East reduces support for Ukraine. He stated this in English on the social network X.
