Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian addressed the leaders of neighboring and friendly countries. He said that Iran tried to avoid war with the United States and Israel through diplomacy, but their aggression left the country no choice but to defend itself.
"Dear leaders of friendly and neighboring states, we tried to avoid war with your help and through diplomatic means, but the American-Zionist aggression left us no choice but to defend ourselves. We respect your sovereignty and continue to believe that regional peace should be ensured by the collective efforts of the countries of the region," Peseshkian said in X.
On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran. The White House justified the attack with missile and nuclear threats related to uranium enrichment and an attempt to create a nuclear bomb.
