Publications about the death of American film director, screenwriter, producer, actor and writer Quentin Tarantino in Israel do not correspond to reality. This is reported by the Deadline portal with reference to representatives of the cinematographer.
It is clarified that earlier in the social network X there was a message with reference to Deadline, which said that Tarantino died from a rocket attack on Israel, where he now lives. Misinformation began to spread rapidly on the social network.
"Tarantino is alive and well," the portal's refutation says.
As a result, complaints were filed against X, the portal emphasized.
In addition, there were many videos that showed Tarantino sitting in a bomb shelter. This is also false information. Some of these messages were marked as created by the Grok neural network.
Many users turned to the owner of X and Grok businessman Ilon Mask with a demand to strengthen the regulation of content in social networks.
As reported by EADaily, in December last year Tarantino named the best, in his opinion, films of the XXI century. The best in the last 25 years for Tarantino is Ridley Scott's film "Black Hawk" (2001).
In his personal top 10, he also included: "Toy Story 3" by Lee Ankrich (2010), "Translation Difficulties" by Sofia Coppola (2003), "Dunkirk" by Christopher Nolan (2017), "Oil" by Paul Thomas Anderson (2007), "Zodiac" by David Fincher (2007), "Uncontrollable" by Tony Scott (2010), "Insane Max: Fury Road" by George Miller (2015), "A Zombie named Sean" by Edgar Wright (2004) and "Midnight in Paris" by Woody Allen (2011).
