The mayor of New York, Democrat Zohran Mamdani, condemned the US war against Iran.
According to him, the strikes on Iran were a "catastrophic escalation of illegal aggression."
"The bombing of cities. The death of civilians. Opening of a new theater of military operations. The Americans don't want that. They don't want another war for regime change. They want to alleviate the cost-of-living crisis. They want peace," Mamdani said.
On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a series of strikes on targets in Iran, including Tehran. Iran carried out retaliatory missile strikes on Israeli territory, as well as on US military facilities in the Middle East region.
The Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the attack by the United States and Israel. Moscow said that the responsibility for the negative consequences of the man-made crisis lies entirely with them.
