By its decision, the Moscow City Court banned the activities of the Azerbaijani organization VBON ("For the benefit of the common people") on the territory of the Russian Federation.
As a competent source told the TASS news agency, thus the court granted the claim of the Moscow prosecutor's office to ban this nationalist structure.
"The court granted the claim of the Moscow Prosecutor's office against the Azerbaijani organization VBON on countering extremist activities and banned the activities of this organization on the territory of Russia. VBON is recognized as an extremist on the territory of the Russian Federation," the agency interlocutor said.
The publication recalls that in October 2020, it was reported that two leaders of the VBON, Roman Agayev and Ragib Bayramov, were detained in Moscow on charges of hooliganism.
In 2024, they were sentenced to four years in prison each.
