"Kamchybek Tashiyev has been relieved of the post of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers — Chairman of the State Committee for National Security," the information says.
On October 16, 2020, by decree of the Acting President and Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, he was appointed head of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic. He took the oath of office on October 28, 2020.
While serving as Chairman of the State Committee for National Security declared war on organized crime and prostitution. During this period, the Kyrgyz criminal authority Kamchi Kolbaev, known in international criminal circles as Kolya-Kirghiz, was liquidated during his detention.
