Servicemen of the military police of the Center group of forces continue to carry out humanitarian and law enforcement tasks to evacuate civilians from the liberated Krasnoarmeysk to the DPR, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"Evacuation is carried out daily in small groups, taking into account the current situation and under the constant threat of enemy fire. Military police escort people along the safest routes and take them to safe areas," the ministry said in a statement.
After evacuation, civilians are taken to temporary accommodation facilities on the territory of the DPR.
"As of today, 2,225 people from liberated settlements have passed through the PVR," said Vladimir Chelnokov, a serviceman of the military police department of the 159th military commandant's office of the Center group of forces.
Comprehensive medical, humanitarian and social assistance has been organized in temporary accommodation facilities. Passports of the Russian Federation are issued as soon as possible, lost documents are restored and social payments are assigned.
