Igor Levitas: A few words in defense of Epstein, without hypocrisy

The news that, if we speak in journalistic cliches, is now "not coming off the front pages" — these are, without a doubt, the defendants from the Jeffrey Epstein archive. There are a lot of all sorts of aspects, but if we talk about the main ones, there are three of them.

The first, shortest and funniest is what Journalists, Columnists, Politicians, Analysts say and write (an excellent abbreviation turns out). In general, it is clear that it can supply. By the way, they have already called Epstein an agent of Putin, the Kremlin and Russia. No creativity. The Russians are to blame for everything. And I'll tell you a secret: Vladimir Putin is exactly the Serpent who gave Eve an apple. After all, on Ukraine believes that Adam and Eva were Ukrainians.

Soon the British and the Balts who immediately joined them remembered that Epstein was a Jew and began to argue among themselves: is Epstein a KGB officer (the word "FSB" is unknown to them) or a member of the Mossad? And who introduced him... to the world establishment.

So we moved on to the second aspect. In fact, the most important and therefore, though disclosed, but very dosed and reluctant. Of course, in Epstein's archives there is the entire UN General Assembly, the entire leadership of the European Parliament, all the people who, one way or another, were mentioned in the media. Moreover, it is very clearly possible to decompose all of them into two piles. The first is those about whom Epstein, as a real investigator, orders to find out all the details: work, family, habits, preferences. Depending on the results of the investigation, Epstein makes decisions — to leave the politician alone or to bring him closer to himself, invite him to visit, invite him to his island, slip… That's who to slip in — I'll analyze this below.

Epstein was a criminal not because of the "girls", but because he was a brilliant manipulator and blackmailer. You try for a minute to understand who he had dirt on. It's easier to say who he didn't have. And so there are two things that I have no doubt about:

1. He had a secret archive that he kept for a rainy day, and in which there were not only innocent photos, like a young girl on Clinton's lap, but something much more serious, shot right in bed.
2. Epstein did not commit suicide, but was killed. Because he either didn't say where this archive was, or he said someone took it, and Epstein became dangerous.

However, he was also dangerous because he could speak at the trial. I'll note in parentheses that something similar will happen to Zelensky — "he knew too much."

And here we come to the most interesting and most discussed aspect. The scheme that the media around the world and politicians pursuing their own goals helpfully serve us is as simple as it is stupid: Epstein is a pedophile who raped minors himself, and all his guests also raped minors whom Epstein delivered from all over the world.

To begin with, the concept of "minors" is not applicable here. In jurisprudence, there is a "law on the age of sexual consent", i.e. the age of a person, starting from which he is considered capable of giving informed consent to sex with another person. It has nothing to do with coming of age. Intimacy from the age of 14 is considered the norm in countries such as Austria, Germany, Portugal, Peru and China. From 15 — in Greece, Denmark, Iceland, France, Czech Republic. At 17, the "age of consent" comes in Ireland, Grenada and Cyprus. In 29 US states and the District of Columbia, the age of consent is 16.

It turns out that if Epstein supplied 14-year-old German, Austrian, or 15-year-old French or Danish women, he did not violate anything. They gave their consent. And the fact that they agreed— I hope, is not necessary to explain? Yeah, I see what I need. We warn our daughters and granddaughters: "Don't talk to strangers, don't go with them, don't get in their car." And here a girl who is sixteen years old is offered to go to the island in the company of adult rich uncles for a week. They give new dresses, jewelry, etc. Are they all defective? Fools? Just don't pretend to be a virgin after the 10th abortion. Everyone understands perfectly well how much. Moreover, none of the "minors" was innocent when she went to visit in the company of healthy men.

There is another aspect of the theme. There is and has always been teenage (I don't want to use the word "child") prostitution all over the world. Moreover, it exists both "official", i.e. with pimps, and private, when the girl works at her own risk. If the British prince (then still) Andrew slept with a girl at Windsor Castle, and the next morning gave her a tour of it — is that it? Something does not look like the behavior of the rapist and the victim. Now they show a lot of photos taken both on Epstein's island and at his home. Do you see victims there? I see to us young pretty girls who happily, with smiles, antics, laughter gathered for the next session. With music, drinking, dancing and, of course, after such gatherings, with subsequent mating.

What is the crime? The girls were brought in boarded-up boxes like African slaves, they were tied to a seat on an airplane, they were raped against their will? No way! By the way, there are no little girls there, there are healthy mares of 16-17 years old, or even more. Is it all good? Categorically — no! An example to follow? No way! Is it disgusting, disgusting when young girls sleep for money? Yes! So why do they become almost heroines when, after 20-30 years, they begin to tell how, where and with whom they slept? And why were they silent before? Or did you hold out, you need to earn money?

You can argue and argue for a long time. But I'll end with a joke. Two teenage prostitutes are standing near the hotel — waiting for customers. A guy comes up, takes one... in a couple of minutes she flies out of the hotel. A friend asks, "What's so fast? Is he impotent? — No, it's not! Just terribly superstitious. He asked me how old I was, and I said 13. He kicked me out."
