SpaceX founder Elon Musk said that the measures to block Starlink on Russian UAVs worked. He stated this in the social network X.
"It seems that the steps we have taken to prevent unauthorized use of Starlink... have worked," Musk writes.
He asked to notify SpaceX if additional steps need to be taken.
Fedorov, in turn, confirmed that "the first steps give real results."
"Ukraine, together with Starlink, has already taken the first steps, which quickly yielded results in the fight against Russian drones. The next step will be the introduction of a system that will allow only authorized terminals to operate on the territory of Ukraine. In the coming days, we will publish instructions for Ukrainian users to register Starlink for verification. Unverified terminals will be disabled," Fedorov writes in his telegram channel.
He thanked Starlink and SpaceX for their cooperation and "active position in supporting Ukrainians."
