The Iranian military is already using Russian-made Kalinka electronic warfare systems (EW) against Starlink satellites. This circumstance, according to the American magazine The National Interest (TNI), scares the United States and Israel.
Brandon Weichert, who reviews various types of weapons for TNI, writes that "the United States and its allies rely heavily on satellites in orbit to perform key military and civilian functions." But China and Russia are active in the production of Starlink "destroyers".
"Iran may have become a testing ground for Russian anti—satellite weapons," writes Weichert.
The observer suggested that Tehran was very likely to use the Kalinka prototype.
"Of course, Israeli and American intelligence are working in an enhanced mode to counter Iran's actions against Starlink," the expert believes.
