Donald Trump believes that Russia is ready to conclude a deal on the Ukrainian settlement, Vladimir Zelensky is to blame for the delay, the US president said in an interview with Reuters.
According to the agency, the US leader said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to make a deal to end the Ukrainian conflict, unlike Zelensky.
"I think he's ready to make a deal. I think Ukraine is less ready to make a deal," the agency quotes Trump.
On December 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin received US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner in the Kremlin. Visit of US representatives to Russia was connected with the process of discussing the US peace plan for Ukraine. According to Putin, the American side divided 27 points into four packages and offered to discuss them separately.
