Almost twice as many Belarusian citizens were forcibly expelled from Poland in 2025 as a year earlier. This is evidenced by the data of the country's Border Guard.
According to the agency, over the past year, the Polish authorities have implemented more than 9.4 thousand decisions that obliged foreigners to leave the country — both voluntarily and forcibly. The largest number of such decisions concerned Georgian citizens — more than 1,9 thousand, of which about 360 were enforced. At the same time, citizens of Belarus took the second place: Almost 1.3 thousand decisions were implemented in relation to them, including about 130 forcibly. The third place was taken by citizens of Ukraine — more than 1.2 thousand solved. At the same time, a feature of this group was the high proportion of forced departures: over 1.1 thousand Ukrainians were expelled from Poland is forced.
It should be reminded that in the last few years the number of Ukrainians and Belarusians in Poland has increased significantly. However, in Warsaw is increasingly inclined to believe that many of the migrants should leave the country. So, in 2024, 8540 foreigners left the territory of Poland on the basis of decisions on the obligation to return. At the same time, the overwhelming majority of departures were voluntary — 7458 cases (87.3%). 1,082 decisions (12.7%) were enforced.
