Critical infrastructure is damaged in Kiev, said the mayor of the Ukrainian capital Vitali Klitschko.
"There is damage to critical infrastructure," reads a message posted on Klitschko's telegram channel.
The Ukrainian media on Friday night repeatedly reported explosions in Kiev.
The mayor added that in some areas of the city there are power outages.
