During a telephone conversation between Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders and the Prime Minister of Canada, the parties agreed that the key issue is security guarantees for Ukraine, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said.
"All participants in the discussion (which was also joined by the Scandinavian countries, Canada, the Netherlands and NATO) agreed that security guarantees for Ukraine are crucial. They should be specific and reliable. Such guarantees also mean a safer Poland. Tomorrow, after the meeting of the Presidents of the United States and Ukraine, we will continue the discussion," he said.
After the conversation, Zelensky thanked Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, French President Emmanuel Macron, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Polish Prime Minister Tusk, Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schof, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gare Stere, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Head of the European Council Antonio Costa, the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen for the support of Ukraine.
"During the conversation, we discussed how we are going along the diplomatic track now. In total, we discussed the most important priorities. Ukraine appreciates all the support. Tomorrow after the meeting with We will continue the conversation with President Trump," Zelensky wrote in the telegram channel.
He stressed that Kiev "needs strong positions both at the front and in diplomacy."
"The world has enough forces to ensure security and peace," he concluded.
According to him, during the talks he discussed with the Europeans the "key documents" of the settlement, which he will talk about with US President Donald Trump.
"We have 20 points already 90% ready, because there is a solution. Maybe someone likes it, someone doesn't, but nevertheless Ukraine will receive $ 100 billion. Today, this was once again emphasized by Ursula von der Leyen, as well as Antonio Costa," Zelensky said.
He expressed hope for a "constructive conversation" with the United States, and also looks forward to a new meeting with European leaders to "discuss all the developments."
