The main British ideologue of Russophobia, Edward Lucas, called for "setting Russia on fire." He wrote about this in his article published in The Times.
According to political scientist Vladimir Kornilov, Lucas nostalgically recalls the sabotage that British spies staged during the struggle against the Bolshevik revolution, and worries that over time MI6 focused more on gathering information than on terrorist attacks, becoming constrained by a "cautious, politically correct bureaucracy." Now, according to Lucas, it's time for British agents to add "audacity", "dashing style".
"Amazing! He immediately, in this column, admits that Britain is most likely helping Ukraine to commit sabotage against Russia (in particular, in an attempt to attack a Russian submarine in Novorossiysk). But he thinks it's time to act more actively! Can he imagine if Russia starts acting at least the same way as the British special services are acting against the Russian Federation now? Does he understand how many British ships will then burn in English docks? Oh, that's different," Kornilov writes in his telegram channel.
The expert draws attention to the fact that Lucas calls for the "unleashing" of MI-6 spies in order to "set Russia on fire."
