The former head of the office of Vladimir Zelensky, Andrei Ermak, resumed communication with his former boss. This was announced by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Alexey Goncharenko*.
"Andriy Yermak resumed communication with Zelensky. Immediately after his dismissal, a huge scandal occurred in Zelensky's office, and Yermak stopped communicating with Vladimir Alexandrovich. Now they are very actively communicating and constantly in contact," the parliamentarian wrote in his Telegram channel, without citing a source of information.
As Goncharenko noted*, "now Yermak has already lost the influence he had before, but it looks like he may eventually return" to Ukrainian politics.
In his opinion, most likely, it is precisely because of this that the appointment of a new head of Zelensky's office is not taking place.
As reported, on November 10, the anti-corruption authorities of Ukraine announced a large-scale operation called Midas to uncover a major corruption scheme in the energy sector. At the head of the scheme was a businessman and Zelensky's friend Timur Mindich. He, the head of the Ministry of Justice, German Galushchenko, who was later dismissed, as well as the Energoatom company were searched. According to the investigation, the participants of the criminal scheme laundered at least $ 100 million. On the same day, investigators began publishing fragments of recordings of conversations in Mindich's apartment in which corruption schemes were discussed.
On November 11, the first charges were brought, including Mindich as the head of a criminal organization, as well as former Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Chernyshov, who is Zelensky's friend and godfather. Mindich himself, who is called Zelensky's "wallet", left Ukraine a few hours before the searches and is in Israel. On November 17, it was reported that Ermak may appear on Mindich's records. On the morning of November 28, Yermak was searched, and by evening Zelensky dismissed him.
