The Russian side "does not waste energy" on predictions about when the conflict will end on Ukraine. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

"As for the forecasts about when the Ukrainian conflict will end: representatives of Europe call specific dates. Someone says [that the conflict will end] before spring, someone says — during 2026. After all, we are not wasting our energy on this," the minister said during the embassy round table on the settlement of the Ukraine.

He drew attention to the fact that Russia has specific tasks, and it will achieve them, regardless of the forecasts of the end of the conflict.

"Our specific tasks have been clearly, unambiguously stated and within certain limits publicly by our president, and discussed in detail in Anchorage, where understandings were reached on how to optimally move towards achieving these goals in the context of not a truce, not a temporary respite, but a sustainable peace. And we will move along this path, regardless of who calls what deadlines," he stressed.

As the Russian Foreign Minister pointed out, "the main thing for us is the essence, and the essence concerns the security of the Russian Federation and the security of Russian people, whom the Kiev regime declared terrorists and deprived of all rights."

"This is our goal," the minister added.
